Whether you're replacing a blade, stocking up on spares or choosing blades for different jobs, we're here to help you find the right fit. You can mix and match blade types, sizes and tooth pitches, with additional savings available on qualifying bandsaw blade orders.

What Makes Our Skookum Bandsaw Blades Different?

✔ Made-to-Order for Proper Fit

We cut and weld your blade to the length you order, including standard machine lengths and custom sizes. Matching the length, width and thickness to your saw's requirements gives you a sound starting point for reliable cutting.

✔ Options for Wood, Metal and More

From hardwoods and aluminum to steel and stainless, different materials call for different blades. Our range includes blade options for everyday shop work, demanding production cutting and specialty applications.

✔ Built for Consistent Results

Choosing suitable blade construction, tooth pitch and tooth geometry can help reduce wandering cuts, tooth damage and premature wear. Pair that selection with proper machine setup, blade tension, cutting speed and feed rate to get more useful life from your blade.

✔ Cut and Welded to Order in Canada

We use quality blade material from established European and North American manufacturers, then cut and weld it here in Canada. We're proud of the work done here, and we believe you deserve clear information about where your tools come from. It's part of our commitment to Canadian manufacturing.

✔ Expert Guidance, Customer-First Approach

You don't need to have every specification figured out before reaching out. Tell us about your saw, the material you're cutting and the results you're after. We'll help you work through the available options.

What Customization Options Do We Offer?

Available Blade Types

Skookum Bandsaw Blades are available in several blade constructions to suit different applications:

  • Carbon Steel – A practical choice for many woodworking jobs, along with suitable plastics and non-ferrous cutting applications. Options such as Flexback and Hardback suit different cutting needs.
  • Bi-Metal – A common choice for metalworking, with options for everyday steel cutting as well as more demanding materials such as stainless steel. Different constructions suit different workloads and cutting conditions.
  • Carbide-Tipped – An option for demanding work, abrasive materials and production cutting. Suitable blades are available for both woodworking and metalworking, provided the machine can support their requirements.

Specialty work calls for a blade designed for the job. For meat cutting, choose a purpose-built meat-cutting blade suited to your equipment.

Tooth Pitch & Configuration

Tooth pitch, usually expressed as teeth per inch (TPI), affects how the blade engages your material and clears chips. Fixed and variable-pitch options are available across the range.

Coarser pitches generally provide more room to clear chips in thicker material. Finer pitches help keep enough teeth engaged when cutting thinner sections. The right choice also depends on the material, its shape and how it meets the blade.

Available combinations of blade material, width, thickness and tooth pitch vary. If you're unsure which options suit your application, we can help narrow them down.

Manufacturing & Lead Time

Our Skookum Bandsaw Blades are cut and welded to order. When planning your order, allow for:

  • A manufacturing lead time of approximately 7–10 business days.
  • Additional shipping time, depending on your delivery location.

Availability can vary by blade material. If you're working toward a deadline, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the current lead time for your blade.

Common Applications

  • Woodworking, cabinetry and resawing
  • Metal fabrication and general shop cutting
  • Steel, stainless steel and aluminum cutting
  • Plastics and other suitable materials
  • Butcher shops and meat cutting, using purpose-built blades
