Back Up Pads

Backing Pads for Sanding Discs

Backing pads are an essential component for achieving consistent sanding, grinding, and finishing results. Designed to support sanding discs while maintaining proper flexibility and control, the right backing pad helps improve abrasive performance and extend disc life.

Our selection includes Velcro (hook & loop) backing pads, PSA sticky-back pads, low-profile designs, and a variety of density options to suit different sanding applications. Available in multiple diameters, thread sizes, and mounting styles, these pads are compatible with many angle grinders, orbital sanders, and polishing tools used in metalworking, woodworking, fabrication, and automotive refinishing.

  • Velcro (Hook & Loop) Backing Pads – Quick disc changes and secure sanding performance
  • PSA Sticky Back Pads – Designed for pressure-sensitive adhesive sanding discs
  • Multiple Sizes & Thread Types – Including common 5/8"-11 and 5/16-24 arbor options
  • Different Density Options – Soft, medium, firm, and low-profile pads for specific sanding needs
  • Durable Construction – Built for professional sanding and surface preparation

If you do not see the exact backing pad you need—such as a specific size, density, hole pattern, or thread configuration—please contact us to request a quote. We work with multiple suppliers and can often source specialty or hard-to-find backing pads for your application.
